Formats
- Lossless WAV, AIFF or FLAC files, at the highest resolution available, up to 32 bit / 192 kHz.
- Other formats can be handled after a technical check.
- One file per side, with the tracks in sequence and the gaps already set. Track markers are added during the cut.
Dynamics and frequencies
- The recommended frequency range is 20 Hz to 20 kHz.
- Average level should not exceed −10 dB RMS, unless there is a specific artistic reason.
- Very energetic high frequencies, aggressive transients and sibilance can distort, particularly towards the centre of the record.
- For heavily compressed or limited material, also send a version with more dynamics.
Stereo and phase
- Low frequencies, roughly up to 200 Hz, must be mono-compatible.
- For long LPs cut at a lower level, keep phase correlation within 90°.
- For high-level 12" maxis, do not go beyond 60°.
Side lengths
- 12" at 33⅓ rpm: 18 to 20 minutes per side.
- 12" at 45 rpm: up to 9 minutes per side.
- Length and cutting level are linked: a longer side needs a lower level.
Delivery
- Name the files
CATALOGUE_SIDE-AandCATALOGUE_SIDE-B, with the catalogue number in capitals, no spaces and no symbols. - Attach a tracklist with the title, the duration and the start timecode of every track.
- Send a WeTransfer or Dropbox link to info@afgmediacompany.com.
- Put the catalogue number, the label, the quantity and the title in the email subject.
